YV Dispatch to SF extra 3056 you have clearance to leave the yard....
Main Yangri Valley Freight YardSF extra 3056 to dispatch, copy that... Now departing from yard track D3....

The engineer throttles up, he has a pretty easy go of it for this trip with two EMD SD40-2’s and just eleven cars of mixed freight. Holding the 10mph limit the units ease towards the yard limit,

Extra 3056 to dispatch, we are nearing the yard limits, please advise clearance status....
Extra 3056, you have clearance to Baden Yard.......

Extra 3056... Copy that.

Looking down over the Speedway (Lower Track)Six throttle notch is all that's needed to maintain the freight speed limit of 50mph along the stretch of track known as the speedway. Next is the sweeping left curve around the base of Twin Trestles as the train exits tunnel one, holding at 30mph, the lead loco trundles into tunnel two and is shortly back in the open air as the train arrives at Oak Flats, a short passing siding. With clearance as far as Baden, extra 3056 picks up momentum as it runs the straight stretch through the Oaks and then brakes for the long curve into Baden Yard.

Extra 3056 nearing Baden Yard limits, please advise status dispatch.......
YV Dispatch to extra 3056, proceed through Baden Yard, you have clearance to enter the ATC territory at Koolsaw......have a good trip.
Copy that YV dispatch.... Over.....

Once clear of the Baden Yard limit, the extra 3056 enters the automatic train control territory that will control the trains movements on the well maintained double track all the way through the Tee-N-Chippee’s. With 6000 hp in the two units, no helpers will be needed through the mountains, once the mountains are conquered, the running is all flat, With an uneventful trip behind them, we pick up our train again as it is heading into the junction at the top of the mountain ranges (formerly Lap Junction) and now back in single track dark territory.

SF extra 3056 to RH dispatcher, we are about to enter Lap Junction.. Over....
RH... Where are you 3056?...
Lap Junction RH....

You mean Ex Lap Junction? Or Lap Ex Junction (the decisions not final on the new name.....)
Haven't been here for a while RH, guess that's where we are!
RH to extra 3056, you have two PFE reefers in your consist to be left at the freight platform on the passing loop and there are three cars to pick up from the west siding - ‘silence’ - do you copy 3056?
3056 to RH, we’ve been on duty nearly eleven hours and you want us to switch cars here? Bull!@#$, The turnouts not even aligned!
3056, the west end loop turnout has failed, you will have to make your moves from the east end of the loop - more silence!
